Black Cat Yoga was established in 2021 and is housed in a building from the late 1800s which is tied to the area’s development as an industrial community.

Munhall Borough, back in the very early years, was the dividing line between homestead Borough and Mifflin Township and this made up the huge estate of the McClure family. The McClure family sold some of the acres to the City of Pittsburgh for its new Poor Farm.

In the 1900s, the Munhall Brothers laid out a plan of lots and sold to mill employees for housing. The area was incorporated as Munhall Borough, named after John Munhall. The town of Munhall consisted of various steel mills, businesses and a place to call home for many.

Black Cat Yoga, a small yoga business, is part of the Munhall community today.  The yoga studio is a place of serenity and good vibes. The staff at Black Cat Yoga offers various services and workshops for that perfect harmony between the mind and body.

Now, the studio is not just about breathing, meditation and adopting specific body postures, it offers the energy of the spirit universe.

Lurking around the studio are souls wanting to be heard. Don’t ignore their presence or they will pull your hair, move objects out of place or startle you with the beating of the gongs.

Footsteps are heard throughout the studio. Cold spots and orbs will appear out of nowhere. Let’s not forget, the feeling of being watched as you move around the premise.

Next, venture down to the dark, creepy basement where the sounds of children are heard laughing. Stay close, you never know what could be lurking around the corner.

So, activate your crown chakra, open your third-eye and get ready to connect deeply with the spirit world!
