The Doss House was constructed in 1810. The house was one of the first build on the land and belonged to several Native American tribes. Throughout the 19th & early 20th centuries, the home served several essential functions for the town which included a dentist, doctor, under-taker, boarding house for drifters and traveling workers and the town’s primary barbershop.
During most of the 20th century, Adolf & Anna Stich owned the home. Adolf was the local barber and carried the nickname, “Doss”. This is how the house derived its modern name.
The current Doss House owners, Shawnna and her wife, Danielle acquired the house and it’s memorabilia of Shawnna’s cherished mother, Holley Cataldo. It stands as a symbol of hope for all believers of the afterlife, a journey of her mother’s enduring legacy in the paranormal community!
Local historians and residents emphasize the house’s roots as a loving family home but the property has gained a reputation of enigmatic lore.
Step inside to be welcome by the former resident souls. Don’t be alarmed as you encounter sudden chills while touring the home or whispers calling your name.
Sounds of children spirits giggling and being mischievous. Be careful not to get pushed, they love playing games. A little girl apparition wearing a green dress may pass you by as you roam the hallways.
Now, venture to the dark, dreary basement where eerie bangs and knocks are heard. Even a guttural growl…..could this be something demonic?!? A portal letting negative energy in or a gateway for restless spirits linger…. Unexplained shadowy figures all around the basement area watching from every corner. Dare to stay there alone!!!
This house’s reputation is one of intense, frightening and full of activity that will keep you on your toes all night long…..
Stay the night, what do you have to lose!?!
