Walnut Hill Manor a Victorian designed house built in 1908 by world renowned floriculturist Henry Eichholz. The house sits on 2.25 acres of curated grounds and overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Mr. Eichholz, a native of Austria, moved to Waynesboro in 1894. He propagated numerous varieties of flowers consisting of carnations, geraniums, roses and chrysanthemums. In 1930, Henry transferred his floral business over to his son, Herman and retired from floriculture. Shortly after retirement, Henry passed away in 1939.
The Manor throughout the years housed different owners but it was not until 2024 when the current owners, Anastasia & Seth acquired Walnut Hill Manor. They shared their beautiful property with the public by offering accommodation bookings, intimate events, photography/videography & private parties. What they didn’t expect to get were the souls that still linger in and around the Manor.
Step inside to be greeted by a full body woman apparition who loves when guests gather together in the Manor. Now, the thrills and chills don’t stop there, venture to each floor to experience the shadows lurking around from room to room and you may even capture a blue orb or two passing by.
Keep those recorders running, disembodied voices have been captured in the background. The Manor’s ghostly guests don’t stop there to make themselves known, they love to move the inanimate objects around from time to time.
If you dare, join us as we relish in the rich decor and luxury of a forgotten time to explore the spirits living at Walnut Hill Manor.
